Ready to take your climbing to new heights? The Summit Lead Course will teach you everything you need to transition from top roping to lead climbing confidently. Learn the skills you need to start climbing outdoors in a safe and controlled indoor setting. Our experienced instructors will cover everything from knot tying, clipping, lead belaying and more.
To help you get started on your lead climbing journey participants also receive 15% off in the Pro Shop to buy their own gear. Our instructors will run you through all the options on the day and explain the pros and cons of different equipment.Â
The Lead Course runs fortnightly on Thursdays from 6-9pm and is $49 per person. You may sign up by yourself or with a partner however the course does require a minimum of 2 people to go ahead. Lead equipment is provided for the course but participants will need to provide their own harness and shoes and be witnessed climbing a grade 18 by Summit staff prior to signing up for the program in centre.
Private lead courses for groups of 2+ can be arranged at alternate times for $99 per person, please contact us for more details.
